About University of Cincinnati Club Baseball Team

We are a student-led organization that competes in the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA). We are part of the Great Lakes South conference with five other teams, including Ohio University, Miami University, Ohio State University, Indiana University, and the University of Dayton. Passion is at the forefront of our team and our play. We strive every day to push each other to our limits and make ourselves the best possible team we can be.

General Information

Schedule & Training

Last year, we played a total of 26 games, including playoffs. Each series we play is a 3-game series, usually with two 7-inning games and one 9-inning game. We are one of six teams in the Great Lakes South, meaning we have 15 conference games to play each year. We practice twice a week throughout the school year.

Player Expenses

The University of Cincinnati makes a contribution to the club team for expenses; however, the expenses for training and games exceed the amount the team receives. Every effort is made to keep the team fees to a minimum by organizing fundraisers, volunteering our time, and diligently researching cost effectives alternatives for operating expenses. We do not want the associated costs to exclude anyone from participating.

Requirements

All UC Club Baseball participants are required to uphold the criteria provided below:

Are NOT on academic probation or warning
Hold at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA
Are currently enrolled in a minimum of 12.0 credit hours per semester

Tryouts

Tryouts for our team are offered twice each year, once at the start of the fall semester and again at the start of the spring semester. Tryouts vary each year but will last 2-3 days.

We can hold up to 20-33 roster spots according to the NCBA.

A date for the 24' Fall Tryout has yet to be determined. However, if you're interested, please fill out the form below where you will be added to our tryout list and contacted by our President.

Last year our team advanced to the Great Lakes Regional Tournament for the first time in years! We are more than proud of our team and the continued work they put in throughout the year. We will continue to strive to make the regional playoff every year.
